此經名彌勒菩薩般涅槃，亦名觀彌勒菩薩上生兜率陀天勸發菩提心，如是受持。

'This sūtra is named Maitreya Bodhisattva's Parinirvāṇa, and is also named Contemplation of Maitreya Bodhisattva's Ascent to Birth in Tuṣita Heaven and Exhortation to Arouse the Mind of Awakening; thus should you receive and uphold it.'
