1.87

經曰「時兜率天宮」以下，第三辨五神外內二宮之嚴飾。此中二：初總標、後別顯。是初也。謂內修五蘊妙用莫方，外感五大神其力無比也。

Where the sūtra states, "At that time, the palace of Tuṣita heaven," onward: third, this explains the adornments of the outer and inner palaces by the five spirits. Within this there are two parts: first, a general indication; second, a specific revelation. This is the first. This means that internally cultivating the marvelous functions of the five skandhas is beyond measure, which externally induces the five great spirits whose power is peerless.
