肇曰：向因此土生疑，故即此土明淨也。生曰：既明不淨罪在眾生，則為淨之旨居然屬佛，故云我此土淨。而舍利弗據穢，致疑為不見也。言而者，傷嗟之也。

[Seng]zhao says: Previously, doubt arose because of this land; therefore, in this very land its purity is clarified. / [Dao]sheng says: Since it has been clarified that the sin of impurity lies with sentient beings, the principle of purity naturally belongs to the Buddha; hence he says, 'This land of mine is pure.' Śāriputra, relying on defilement, gave rise to doubt because he did not see it. Saying 'yet' is an expression of sorrow and lament.
