什曰：喜有二種，一者有現世功德，自然欣預；二者後得涅槃，心常安悅。既具二喜，又無想著，乃真喜也。肇曰：夫擾亂出于多求、憂苦生乎不足。出家寡欲，擾亂斯無；道法內充，故懷喜有餘。

[Kumāra]jīva says: “Joy is of two kinds: first, having merits in the present life, one is naturally pleased; second, attaining nirvāṇa later, the mind is constantly serene and delighted. When both joys are complete and one is also free of conceptual attachment, that is true joy.” [Seng]zhao says: “Disturbance arises from seeking much; anxiety and suffering are born of insufficiency. Going forth from the household lessens desires, and disturbance is eliminated; the qualities of the Way fill one within, and so one cherishes abundant joy.”
