汝行詣維摩詰問疾。阿難白佛言：世尊！我不堪任詣彼問疾。所以者何？憶念昔時世尊身小有疾，當用牛乳。
“You go to Vimalakīrti to inquire after his illness.” Ānanda addressed the Buddha: “World-Honoured One! I am not competent to go there and inquire after his illness. Why is this? I remember formerly when the World-Honoured One’s body had a slight ailment and needed cow’s milk.
