[Seng]zhao says: "Now, the dharmakāya is vacuous, subtle, and wonderfully transcends ordinary realms; emotional defilements cannot taint it, and mental imaginings cannot conceive it. Therefore it is said: 'All taints have been exhausted, transcending the three realms'—for everything within the three realms is defiled." [Dao]sheng says: "Although one may transcend the three realms, it might still be a body of the final limit, which is still a defiled dharma. How could a defiled dharma be free of illness? Since the Buddha has transcended it and no longer has these defilements, what illness could there be?"
