問曰：此品闡玄之極，若使默外猶有自覺相應境界，何故不論？釋言：為化極於言默，言默之外不復可陳。不可陳處從來未辨，豈獨今哉！

Question: This chapter reaches the utmost in expounding the profound; if beyond silence there is still a realm corresponding to self-awakening, why is it not discussed? Explanation: The means of transforming [beings] reach their limit in speech and silence; beyond speech and silence, it can no longer be stated. That which cannot be stated has never been explained—how could it be only now!
