五、有師言「經」字即是正翻。所以者何？彼方極聖說教，名修多羅；此土聖人所說，名之為經。以此類通，即正翻也。

Fifth, some masters say that the character "jing" is precisely the proper translation. Why is this? The preaching of teachings by the supreme sages of that region is called sūtra; what is spoken by the sages of this land is called jing. Comparing and correlating them in this way, it is precisely the proper translation.
