"The mind of dedication... to his land": As the Dàzhìdù lùn says, "Dedication is like sound entering a horn." The dedication of the bodhisattvas of the four teachings differs; later, when he accomplishes buddhahood, four kinds of living beings endowed with merit come to be born in his land. Dedicating one's own merit to share it with living beings, there is no good that is not fulfilled; therefore, those who now come to be born are fully endowed with merit. It should also say that living beings who desire to cultivate dedication come to be born in his land, but the text is presumably abridged. The provisional and real, along with other meanings, are all analogous to the straight mind.
