2.68

「三寶於是現世間」者，不約一體三寶。何者？初覺道成始有佛寶，三轉法輪即是法寶，𤘽隣如等見諦得戒即是僧寶。自迦葉佛滅後，三寶隱沒但有舊醫，今佛出興三寶始具。

"The Three Jewels thereupon appeared in the world": this does not refer to the single-essence Three Jewels. Why? When the path of awakening was first accomplished, the Buddha jewel first existed; the threefold turning of the wheel of the Dharma is itself the Dharma jewel; and Kauṇḍinya and the others seeing the truths and attaining the precepts is itself the Saṅgha jewel. From the nirvāṇa of Kāśyapa Buddha onward, the Three Jewels had been eclipsed and there were only old physicians; now, with the Buddha's arising in the world, the Three Jewels were first complete.
