「佛以一音」下二行,次歎義辨。一音說法,受行獲利,即是尋言求旨、得言所以,所以即是義也。如來本無句義,豈有義辨?而能分別一切句義者,即口密也。
From "The Buddha with a single sound..." down, spanning two lines, the next part praises the analytical knowledge of meaning. Preaching the Dharma with a single sound, so that those who receive and practice it obtain benefit: this is following the words to seek the purport, grasping that for which words exist; that for which they exist is the meaning. The Tathāgata fundamentally has no phrases or meanings; how could he have the analytical knowledge of meaning? Yet being able to differentiate all phrases and meanings is the secret of speech.
