Question: The conditioned is not yet exhausted for learners; although they attain seeing the real, they still have that delusion, yet one does not designate "intrinsic nature" based on the real. For bodhisattvas the unconditioned is not yet exhausted, and they also attain seeing the real; why do they separately receive the name of "intrinsic nature"? Answer: When the two vehicles see the real, it is merely the principle of emptiness; emptiness is not the dharmakāya, so one cannot establish the name of "intrinsic nature." When bodhisattvas see the real, the real is the dharmakāya; the dharmakāya is eternally abiding, so one can separately establish the name of "intrinsic nature." Because the bodhisattvas' conditioning delusions are not yet exhausted, they must be subjugated.
