問：亦云二夜常說涅槃，故《涅槃》佛答迦葉云：「我初成道已，有十方菩薩來問此義。」是中亦應有菩薩未了之者，何不出此意？答：雖有此意，未見明文。若欲說者，准《般若》可知，此約部異耳。若猶是華嚴、般若之異名者，前明所彈即其義也。

Question: It is also said that during the two nights he constantly expounded Nirvāṇa, and thus in the Nirvāṇa Sūtra the Buddha answered Kāśyapa, saying: "When I first attained the Way, bodhisattvas from the ten directions came to ask about this meaning." Among them, there should also be bodhisattvas who had not yet fully understood; why is this meaning not brought forth? Answer: Although this meaning exists, no explicit text has been seen. If one wishes to speak of it, it can be understood by analogy with prajñā; this is merely a difference according to texts. If it is still an alternative name for the Avataṃsaka or prajñā, then what was clarified above regarding what is rebuked is precisely that meaning.
