「我即為其如法解說」，二、明波離解說。依律判斷，或教集僧羯磨除滅，故言如法為說。
"I then explained to them according to the Dharma": second is explaining Upāli's explanation. Judging according to the vinaya, or teaching them to assemble the saṅgha for karmavācanā to eradicate it; hence it says "explained for them according to the Dharma."
