二、「復次」下，護持所以，二：初、明今說醻請。二、「若作」下，依教判人。若依《華嚴》以十地對六欲四禪者，帝釋是二地菩薩。「率化群下」者，〈儀禮〉云「勗率以敬。」鄭玄曰「率，導引也。」

Second, under "Furthermore," the reason for protecting and upholding, which has two [parts]: first, clarifying that the present discourse responds to a request. Second, under "If one considers," classifying persons according to the teachings. If one follows the *Avataṃsaka* in correlating the ten grounds with the six desire [heavens] and four dhyānas, Śakra is a bodhisattva of the second ground. Regarding "leading and transforming subordinates," the *Yili* states: "Exhort and lead them with reverence." Zheng Xuan says: "*Shuai* (率) means to guide."
