二、約理釋。前釋則約人位齊名等，此釋則約智齊理名等。前釋自他相對，此釋理智相對。

Second, explaining in terms of principle. The preceding explanation considered the equality of persons and stages to be called "equal"; this explanation considers wisdom matching principle to be called "equal." The preceding explanation was the mutual opposition of self and other; this explanation is the mutual opposition of principle and wisdom.
