二、問答釋疑，三：初、義通初後。問意者，荊溪云：既約三觀，復屬圓教，義在初心，故有斯問。「答」下，發心初住，畢竟妙覺，所證理等，故二不別。

Second, questions and answers to resolve doubts, in three: first, the meaning spans the initial and final. Regarding the intent of the question, Jingxi says: Since it is in terms of the threefold contemplation and also belongs to the perfect teaching, the meaning lies in the initial mind; hence, there is this question. From "Answer" below, from the initial abode of generating the mind to ultimate wondrous awakening, the principle realized is equal, so the two are not distinct.
