二、「迦葉」下，隨文釋義，二：初、命問疾，二：初、正釋現文，二：初、釋迦葉。「此翻為龜」者，其先代學道，靈龜負仙圖而應，從德命族，故云龜氏。「以姓為名」者，時多以姓召之故云也。其實有名，名畢鉢羅，父母禱樹神而生子，因以名之。

Second, from 'Kāśyapa' downward, explaining the meaning following the text, in two parts: first, ordering him to inquire after the illness, in two parts: first, directly explaining the present text, in two parts: first, explaining Kāśyapa. Regarding 'This is translated as Tortoise', his ancestors studied the Way, and a numinous tortoise carrying an immortal's diagram responded; naming the clan after virtue, he is therefore called the Tortoise clan. Regarding 'Taking the clan name as the personal name', it is because at that time people mostly called him by his clan name. In reality he had a personal name, called Pippala; his parents prayed to a tree deity and gave birth to a son, and named him after it.
