四、結成不堪，二：初、正釋現文。「若作至何殊」者，徵難也。「理而」下，答釋也。華嚴全不受益，今聞彈折遠為淨土之因。聾瘂雖同，益不益異。

Fourth, concluding that he is not up to it, has two parts: first, properly explaining the present text. Regarding "If one acts... how does it differ?" this is a challenging question. From "In terms of principle..." downward is the answering explanation. In the *Avataṃsaka Sūtra*, they received no benefit at all; now, hearing the reproach and rebuke, it becomes a distant cause for the pure land. Although their deafness and dumbness were the same, their benefiting or not benefiting is different.
