三、問何來。四、答道場來。荊溪云：為欲至事迹者，唯欲說於圓理故耳。故於圓教能表之事亦破，皆令入實故也。

Third, asking where he comes from. Fourth, replying that he comes from the place of enlightenment. Jingxi says: His arriving at phenomenal traces was only because he wished to speak of the perfect principle. Therefore, even the phenomena capable of representing [the principle] in the perfect teaching are refuted, in all cases causing [beings] to enter the real.
