二、別釋，二：初、直約四土。荊溪云：從空至傍治同居無知者，以界內塵沙不障界外之生，故雖生彼有而須斷。既生界外，界外為正，縱未出界，惑終非正，於外破內，內則易壞。

Second, specific explanation, in two parts: first, directly according to the four lands. Jingxi says: As for "from emptiness up to collaterally treating the unknowing of dwelling together": because the [delusions of] dust and sand within the realm do not obstruct rebirth outside the realm, although born there, they exist and must be severed. Once born outside the realm, the outside of the realm is primary; even if one has not yet exited the realm, the affliction is ultimately not primary. Breaking the inner from the outer, the inner is easily destroyed.
