二、正解，五：初、為赴時眾渴仰之心。荊溪云：親承者，向雖聞述被訶之事，但可罔像纔信而已。若見神變并聞智辨，得益不輕，故須隨從。

Second, the direct explanation, in five parts: first, in order to respond to the assembly's thirsty and longing hearts at that time. Jingxi says: As for "personally receiving," although they had just heard the account of the matter of being reproached, they could only have a vague and fleeting faith. If they were to see the spiritual transformations and also hear the wise eloquence, their attained benefit would not be light; therefore they had to follow along.
