Second, explaining 'seeing without the characteristic of seeing', in two: first, brief explanation; second, from 'The statement "not..."' down, detailed explanation, in two: first, setting aside seeing with the characteristic of seeing; second, from 'If entering' down, revealing seeing without the characteristic of seeing, in two: first, broadly showing the perfect seeing. 'Sentient beings of the three aggregates': the Da zhidu lun, fascicle 50, says: 'Sentient beings have three aggregates: first, those definitely right, who will definitely enter nirvāṇa; second, those definitely wrong, who will definitely enter the evil paths; third, the indefinite.' 'Now none are seen': external objects are the mind itself, for all are in emptiness. Hence the 'Gate of Non-Duality' says: 'Because emptiness is subtle, mind and form are transcendent in essence.' One does not see the differences of the seven expedients of sentient beings, nor the graded qualities of purity and defilement of lands. 'And perfectly sees the dharmadhātu': within emptiness is the conventional, and the circumstantial and direct [rewards] of Indra's net remain brilliantly clear all day long.
