Third, concerning the correct contemplation of the path-factors—Jingxi says: regarding "although practicing the four foundations of mindfulness," the four characters "corresponding to correct contemplation" crown all the seven headings below. Regarding "the ten powers illuminating the conventional," etc., looking from the powers toward principle, all ten functions are conventional. Regarding "correct contemplation and auxiliary path," the path-factors are necessarily correct; here, based tentatively on the side of emptiness, it is contrasted with the auxiliary. For a broad discernment of correct and auxiliary, it is completely as in the *Record on Cessation and Contemplation*. Regarding "all differing from the two vehicles," it is because of breaking two and entering two. Fourth, concerning manifesting marks—regarding "freely entering the real while being able to enter the conventional," internally keeping great practices secret is entering the real, while manifesting the appearance of the two vehicles is entering the conventional. One should know that all take non-arising and non-perishing of the middle way as the real, and hence manifest the deportment of the two vehicles to enter the conventional.
