二、「又」下，約四德。上四諦觀雖觀一心，四教行人皆可修證。今就四德各明三觀，初心頓修的屬圓觀。東方對常，常破無常，塵沙淨也；無常破常，見思亡也；雙非破二邊，無明集寂也。說有前後，修在一心。三方例此。

Second, from "moreover..." onward, in terms of the four virtues. Although the contemplation of the four truths above contemplates the single mind, practitioners of the four teachings can all cultivate and realize it. Now, clarifying the threefold contemplation respectively for the four virtues, the initial mind's sudden cultivation definitively belongs to the perfect contemplation. The eastern direction corresponds to permanence: permanence breaks impermanence, purifying the dust-like sands; impermanence breaks permanence, eradicating views and thoughts; the double negation breaks the two extremes, rendering the accumulation of ignorance tranquil. The exposition has sequence, but cultivation resides in the single mind. The other three directions are modeled on this.
