Second, from "The Buddha for" onward explains breaking the precepts. The initial category refers to the four pārājikas. The final group refers to the duṣkṛtas. If discussed in terms of the five categories, the first and last are both categories; in terms of the six groups, the beginning and end are both groups. The ornate phrasing reflects each other, hence it says "initial category and final group". The three masters refer to the upādhyāya, the karmadāna, and the instructing ācārya. The seven monks who bear witness to the precepts refers to the ten persons according to the central kingdom. The "Buddha-ocean": the Buddha-Dharma is like an ocean; one who commits a major offense is like a corpse. "Flower garden" can be understood. Saying that one who commits a major offense must be expelled from the pure saṃgha.
