二、「又對」下，約為人釋。半空已上皆是男天，半空已下皆是女天。是鬼神報稱為天者，有天然力用，故褒之以天。召諸鬼神皆以天名，不唯此也。實智乃是善法之本，今讚覺者生人實智，宜告善女。又別名堅牢，宜證往事稱理，不懷云云之意也。

Second, from "further, addressing" downward, explaining in terms of the individual. Those from mid-air and above are all male devas; those from mid-air and below are all female devas. As for retributions of ghosts and spirits being called "devas": they have spontaneous, natural power and function, and so they are praised with the designation "deva." Summoning all ghosts and spirits using the name "deva" is not limited to this instance. Real wisdom is indeed the root of wholesome dharmas; now, praising the awakened one generates real wisdom in persons, so it is fitting to address a virtuous woman. Moreover, her specific name is Drḍhā (Firm); it is fitting to bear witness to past events in accord with principle, without entertaining wavering thoughts, and so forth.
