Second, from "Although termed" onward, concluding with an exhortation. The name is partial but the meaning is perfect: the name merely says "emptiness," but the meaning is identical to emptiness, provisionality, and the middle. Since the meaning is certainly correct, its clarification spontaneously tallies with the sūtra. Both name and meaning are like this for the emptiness of sentient beings and the emptiness of phenomena; therefore practitioners are exhorted to cease their doubts. One must still completely understand that the entirety of the secret treasury forms sentient beings and forms phenomena; therefore sentient beings and phenomena are nothing other than the three virtues. Thus in contemplating sentient beings and phenomena, both the subjective [contemplation] and objective [realm] are threefold; while object and contemplation differ in name, their essence is not distinct. Therefore subjective and objective are two and yet not two; this is the contemplation of twofold emptiness in the present sūtra.
