三、明三受犯觸。違情苦受、順情樂受、不違不順平平受，此三偏起也。總三起等分，名覺觀緣慮紛紜也。

Third, explains how the three feelings offend and stimulate. Painful feeling that opposes one's inclination, pleasant feeling that conforms with one's inclination, and neutral feeling that neither opposes nor conforms—these three arise specifically. When all three arise collectively, they constitute the equal distribution, termed the chaotic turbulence of the deliberative thought of vitarka and vicāra.
