5.199

下三行結。初一頌人聽得護；次一頌天得不退，非但聽受等不退，亦令諸天威德無退；後一頌合結。王得色力福智故，威德勇猛常得自在。天得增益故，離大小五衰惱相，常益光明。

Commentary: Below, three verses conclude. The first verse: humans who listen obtain protection; the second verse: devas obtain non-retrogression—not only do listening and receiving not retrogress, it also causes the devas' majesty and virtue not to retrogress; the final verse jointly concludes. Because kings obtain physical appearance, strength, merit, and wisdom, their majesty, virtue, and courage always attain sovereignty. Because devas obtain enhancement, they leave behind the signs of the major and minor fivefold decays and distresses, and constantly increase in brilliance.
