6.146

經　爾時佛告菩提樹神：「善女天！汝今當知昔時長者子流水者即我身是，持水長者即妙幢是。彼之二子，長子水滿即銀幢是，次子水藏即銀光是。彼天自在光王者即汝菩提樹神是，十千魚者即十千天子是。因我往昔以水濟魚與食令飽，為說甚深十二緣起，并此相應陀羅尼呪，又為稱彼寶髻佛名，因此善根得生天上，今來我所歡喜聽法，我皆當為授於阿耨多羅三藐三菩提記、說其名號。善女天！如我往昔於生死中輪迴諸有廣為利益，令無量眾生悉令次第成無上覺，與其授記。汝等皆應勤求出離，勿為放逸。」

Sūtra: At that time, the Buddha said to the Bodhi Tree deity: "Good Goddess! You should now know that the elder's son Jalavāhana of that time was none other than myself; the elder Jaladhara was Ruciraketu. His two sons—the elder son Jalāmbara was Rajatadhvaja, and the second son Jalagarbha was Rajataprabha. That King Jalendradhara was you yourself, the Bodhi Tree deity; and the ten thousand fish were these ten thousand devaputras. Because in the past I rescued the fish with water, fed them to satiety, preached the profound twelvefold conditioned arising and the dhāraṇī mantras corresponding to it, and also recited for them the name of the Buddha Ratnaśikhin, by virtue of these roots of good they were born in heaven. Now coming to my presence, they joyfully listen to the Dharma. To all of them I shall bestow predictions of anuttarā samyaksambodhi and proclaim their names. Good Goddess! Just as in the past I transmigrated through the various realms of existence in saṃsāra and broadly brought benefit, causing immeasurable sentient beings all to sequentially achieve unsurpassed awakening and conferring predictions upon them, you all should diligently seek deliverance and never become negligent!"
