6.175

下心念省察。於中有三：初念昔虛棄身命無窮。次「云何今日」下忖今何不能捨益物？後「如捐洟唾」下應生厭離，猶如洟唾，捨無常色獲得常色等故。

Below is reflecting in his mind. Herein there are three: First, recalling that in the past, he uselessly discarded his body and life endlessly. Next, from "Why then today" onward, considering why he cannot today give it up to benefit living beings. Later, from "like discarding spit or snot" onward, he should produce revulsion, just like spit or snot, because by giving up impermanent form he attains permanent form, and so on.
