下讚智用，初二頌利他用、後二頌自利用。利他中，初一句讚具行希。次一句讚出現希。次一句現身希，身處大眾，如妙高山鎮於大海。次一句光無量希。次一句弘願希。次一句種姓希，日炙種生世尊，故云明逾日。次一句說此經希。次一句能利生希。即具八希。

Below, it praises the functions of wisdom: the first two verses concern the function of benefiting others, and the latter two verses concern the function of self-benefit. Within benefiting others, the first line praises the rareness of possessing practice. The next line praises the rareness of appearance. The next line praises the rareness of manifesting the body: dwelling within the great assembly like Mount Sumeru anchoring the great ocean. The next line praises the rareness of immeasurable light. The next line praises the rareness of vast vows. The next line praises the rareness of lineage: the World-Honoured One was born of the Solar Lineage, and therefore his "radiance surpasses the sun". The next line praises the rareness of expounding this sūtra. The next line praises the rareness of being able to benefit living beings. That is, it possesses eight rarenesses.
