Below, the making of vows has six parts: The first half-verse is the vow of recollection, constantly seeing where he abides. The next half-verse is the vow of earnestness, constantly meeting him where one is born. The next verse is the vow of offering and attendance, constantly making offerings without satiety. The next half-verse is the vow for constant protection and being made to see him; it should say "see, etc.", but because of the constraint of verse metre, the word "etc." is omitted. The next verse and a half is the vow constantly to benefit sentient beings. Speaking of "humans and devas" is based on those capable of realization; saying "fundamentally pure like empty space" is the dharmakāya; "like an illusion, etc." refers to the enjoyment and transformation bodies. The next two verses are the vow to attain vision and realization. Within them, the first verse praises what is superior and wondrous: the realm traversed is the dharmadhātu body; compassionate, correct practice refers to compassion and wisdom, both being inconceivable. "Great Ṛṣi bodhisattvas" refers to bodhisattvas of equal awakening. The next half-verse is the vow for empowerment. The next half-verse reveals the attainment of realization through practice.
