經 佛告地神：「善女天！如汝所說，皆從勝妙善根因緣勤苦修已方得授記。此諸天子於妙天宮捨五欲樂，故來聽是《金光明經》。既聞法已，於是經中心生殷重，如淨瑠璃無諸瑕穢，復得聞此三大菩薩授記之事。」
Sūtra: The Buddha told the earth deity: "Noble Goddess! Just as you have said, it is only after diligently and painfully cultivating based on superior and wonderful causes and conditions of good roots that one receives the prediction. These devaputras renounced the pleasures of the five desires in their wonderful celestial palaces and purposefully came to listen to this *Suvarṇaprabhāsa-sūtra*. Having heard the Dharma, they generated profound reverence in their minds regarding this sūtra, like pure lapis lazuli free from all flaws and stains, and further succeeded in hearing about the conferral of predictions upon these three great bodhisattvas."
