此重複破外道轉計也。上惟計有計無為生法之因，既被斥矣，若復計有、無與識三緣和合而生者，亦無是理，故說喻以曉之。龜既不能生毛，沙既不能出油，則所計義墮，故云汝宗則壞，以其違背大乘決定之義故也。外計以有無二見為本，故總斥云有如是過。既無其本，則所作事業因果皆無實義也。

This repeatedly refutes the shifted assertions of the tīrthikas. Above, their mere positing of existence and nonexistence as causes for the arising of dharmas was already rebuked. If they then further posit that existence, nonexistence, and consciousness unite as three conditions to bring about arising, this too is devoid of principle; hence analogies are stated to make them understand. Since tortoises cannot produce hair and sand cannot yield oil, their asserted doctrine collapses. Therefore it is said, 'your thesis is destroyed,' because it contradicts the definitive doctrine of the Mahāyāna. The tīrthikas take the two views of existence and nonexistence as their foundation, so the text summarizes and rebukes them, saying that they possess such faults. Once their foundation is gone, the causes and effects of the actions they perform are entirely without real significance.
