「如修行者入禪三昧，微細習氣轉而不覺知，而作是念：識滅，然後入禪正受。實不識滅而入正受，以習氣種子不滅故不滅，以境界轉，攝受不具故滅。」

"Just as when a practitioner enters the dhyāna-samādhi, subtle vāsanās evolve without their being aware of it, and they make this thought: 'The consciousnesses have ceased, and thereafter I enter the correct meditative attainment of dhyāna.' In truth, it is not that the consciousnesses have ceased when one enters the correct attainment; because the seeds of vāsanā do not cease, [the storehouse consciousness] does not cease. It is because realms evolve and grasping is incomplete that [the active consciousnesses] cease."
