爾時，大慧菩薩摩訶薩復白佛言：「世尊！建立、誹謗相，惟願說之，令我及諸菩薩摩訶薩離建立、誹謗二邊惡見，疾得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提，覺已，離常建立、斷誹謗見，不謗正法。」

Then, the bodhisattva-mahāsattva Mahāmati addressed the Buddha again, saying: 'World-Honoured One! Please speak of the characteristics of affirmation and deprecation, so that I and the bodhisattva-mahāsattvas may leave behind the evil views of the two extremes of affirmation and deprecation, quickly attain anuttarā samyaksambodhi, and having awakened, be free from the view of permanent affirmation and the deprecation of annihilation, not slandering the true Dharma.'"
