"Furthermore, Mahāmati, whatever bodhisattva-mahāsattvas distinguish concerning the practice of all dharmas of samādhis and supernatural powers—all of these entirely abide in the Tathāgata's two kinds of supernatural power. Mahāmati, if a bodhisattva-mahāsattva could speak with eloquence apart from the Buddha's supernatural power, all ordinary persons should also be able to speak. Why is this? Because they do not abide in supernatural power. Mahāmati, when the Tathāgata enters a city, by his majestic supernatural power, mountains, rocks, trees, musical instruments, city walls, and palaces all naturally emit musical sounds; how much more so conscious beings: the deaf, the blind, the mute, and those enduring immeasurable kinds of suffering all attain liberation. The Tathāgata possesses such immeasurable supernatural power to benefit and bring peace to sentient beings."
