"Mahāmati, not in all buddha-fields are there words; words are merely fabricated. In some buddha-fields, the Dharma is manifested through gazing; in some through making gestures; in some through raising eyebrows; in some through moving the eyes; or through smiling; or yawning; or clearing the throat; or recollecting a buddha-field; or moving about. Mahāmati, just as in the worlds of Gazing and Fragrance-Accumulated, and the realm of the Tathāgata Samantabhadra, merely by gazing they cause bodhisattvas to attain the tolerance of the non-arising of dharmas and superior samādhis. Therefore, it is not that words have svabhāva, nor that everything has svabhāva. Mahāmati, look at the gnats, mosquitoes, worms, and ants in this world; these sentient beings have no words, yet each accomplishes its tasks."
