In the foolish lineage, when it speaks of "the svabhāva of manifold entities," it means that they discriminate the manifold entities and affairs of false dharmas, grasping according to the entities to form their lineage. When it says "neither an existent entity" and so on, it means that those very false dharmas are neither entities nor non-entities, which is neither existent nor nonexistent; this is the lineage of fools. Furthermore, saying "regarding that very delusion, without vikalpa" reiterates the lineage of the Buddha vehicle: not only does one have no vikalpa regarding false dharmas, but the dharmas of faults, vāsanā, and so on of mind, thought, and mental consciousness are all transformed; when transformation reaches its utmost, their svabhāva is restored, which is nothing other than one single Thusness. Because all is Thusness, it is free from mind and cuts off thought. "This phrase" is precisely the phrase of being free from mind and cutting off thought; this is what is meant by true thusness being free from thought, and turning toward it bringing the mind to an end.
