「大慧！說性者，為攝受生死故，壞無見斷見故，為我弟子攝受種種業受生處故，以性聲說攝受生死。」

"Mahāmati! Speaking of nature is for the sake of gathering in saṃsāra, for destroying the view of nonexistence and the view of annihilation, and for the sake of my disciples gathering in the places of rebirth according to various karmas; [thus] I speak of gathering in saṃsāra using the sound of 'nature'."
