「大慧！云何阿那含？謂過去、未來、現在色相性非性生見過患，使妄想不生故，及結斷故，名阿那含。」

"Mahāmati, what is an anāgāmin? It means that, by seeing the faults in the arising of the nature or non-nature of characteristics of form in past, future, and present, one causes discrimination not to arise, and because the fetters are severed, one is called an anāgāmin."
