This person of the third fruit universally contemplates the characteristics of form across the three times as all empty; "non-nature" means emptiness. Because they are free from the fault of discriminating existence and nonexistence, it says: "discrimination does not arise." "The fetters are severed" means severing the final three grades of the afflictions of thought of the desire realm.
