2.27

Regarding "the mind-made body" and so forth, mind has three qualities taken as a simile: first, rapidity; second, unimpededness; third, arriving everywhere. This means that when a bodhisattva attains the illusion-like samādhi, his manifesting bodies to gather sentient beings also possesses these three qualities. For ordinary beings, thought arrives but the body cannot arrive; for both body and thought to arrive simultaneously is possible only for nobles and those who have attained supernatural penetrations. "The sovereign supernatural powers of the illusion-like samādhi" is the mind that is able to produce. "A noble class of body adorned with wondrous signs" is the body that is produced. "Arising all at once, just like mind-made" represents the complete fusion of dharma and simile. "Maturing sentient beings" means causing them also to attain skilful joy.
