3.53

「大慧！貪恚癡若內若外不可得，貪恚癡性無身故、無取故，非佛、聲聞、緣覺是壞者。佛、聲聞、緣覺自性解脫故，縛與縛因非性故。大慧！若有縛者，應有縛，是縛因故。大慧！如是說壞者，是名無有相。」

"Mahāmati, greed, anger, and delusion, whether internal or external, are ungraspable; because the nature of greed, anger, and delusion has no body and is ungraspable, it is not that Buddhas, śrāvakas, and pratyekabuddhas are destroyers. This is because Buddhas, śrāvakas, and pratyekabuddhas are liberated in their own nature, and because bondage and the causes of bondage are non-entities. Mahāmati, if there were one who is bound, there should be bondage, as that would be the cause of bondage. Mahāmati, speaking of destruction in this way is called the characteristic of nonexistence."
