"By skillfully and expediently discriminating the characteristics of the remaining bhūmis, determining the meanings of phrases, with supreme and boundless good roots matured, free from the false and deceptive conceptualizations that appear from one's own mind, sitting peacefully in mountain forests, practicing in lower, middle, or higher degrees, being able to see the flowing stream of the false conceptualizations of one's own mind, receiving the abhiṣeka of the Buddhas of immeasurable lands, attaining the samādhi of autonomous supernormal powers, surrounded by good spiritual friends who are the retinue of the Buddha's heirs—all such causes as that mind, mentation, and mental consciousness, the realms of svabhāva appearing from one's own mind, false thoughts, the ocean of existence in saṃsāra, karma, craving, and ignorance, have all been transcended. Therefore, Mahāmati, practitioners should associate closely with the most supreme spiritual friends."
