The brahmin said: "All the disputations, various phrases and senses, and adornments of causes and metaphors of all heterodox traditions—none fail to emerge from my doctrine; all are worldly treatises. Could there still be something that is not a worldly treatise?" The Buddha answered: "There is a teaching that is not a worldly treatise. Because it is not possessed by you, it is not accepted by you, but it is not that the world does not accept it." Although it transcends disputation, it also borrows various phrases, causes, and metaphors as adornments, and only then can one awaken. Therefore he said: "It is not that it does not speak various phrases; it corresponds with the meaning and principle, and is not non-corresponding."
