「猛火著釜下，中水踊躍，以布覆上，眾生照臨，亦無覩其影者。心中本有三毒，湧沸在內，五蓋覆外，終不見道。」

"If a blazing fire is placed under a cauldron and the water inside boils up, and a cloth covers the top, even if sentient beings peer over it, none will see their reflection. Within the mind there are originally the three poisons boiling up inside, and the five hindrances covering it outside; in the end one does not see the Way."
