The thirty-fifth: "What is the house mind? It is following the practice of protecting one's own body." Just as someone builds a house to shelter and protect their body, escaping cold, heat, wind, rain, bandits, harmful insects, and various other disadvantageous things; this mind is also like this: "I shall uphold the precepts and cultivate good to protect myself, keeping far away from the multiple sufferings of the miserable realms in this life and future lives." This mostly belongs to the habits of śrāvakas. Recollecting the rescue and protection of all sentient beings, rather than oneself alone, serves as its antidote.
